WELCOME TO ESTHER VEXLER YOGA SCHOOL

EVYS MISSION STATEMENT

The Esther Vexler Yoga School is a non-profit, 200-hour Yoga Alliance Registered School that was established in 2007 to honor Esther Vexler, an inspirational teacher and pioneer of yoga in San Antonio. Our purpose is to:
  • To provide affordable hatha yoga teacher training
  • To educate the public about the benefits of yoga
  • To encourage collaboration in our yoga community

    OUR VISION

The Esther Vexler Yoga School is dedicated to providing excellence in yoga education to the people of San Antonio and South Texas. In addition to being the first Yoga Alliance registered hatha yoga teacher training program in Bexar County, we want to become the center for information about yoga studios, teachers and workshops offered in our area. Each year we will host internationally recognized yoga teachers. Our Scholarship Program will insure that financial need is not an impediment for those who aspire to become registered yoga teachers.

    NON-PROFIT STATUS

The Esther Vexler Yoga School is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. We have established a Scholarship Program and are accepting donations that will be used to help aspiring yoga teachers pay for their teacher training program. Contributions to EVYS are tax-deductible. Thank you for your generosity!

    OUR PHILOSOPHY

Yoga is for Everybody! The benefits of yoga are available to people of all races, cultures, religions, age, and lifestyle. The Esther Vexler Yoga School is a Yoga Alliance registered school, ID # 28615. Our curriculum is based on the Yoga Alliance requirements, and upon successful completion of the coursework, students will be qualified to apply to Yoga Alliance to become registered yoga teachers at the 200 hour level. Yoga Alliance is a nationally-recognized organization that sets standards, fosters integrity, provides resources and upholds the teaching of all styles of yoga. Our alumni will be highly trained and qualified to teach yoga in a variety of settings: health clubs, universities, yoga studios, and support groups for those healing from a variety of illness.
